Potato bruises
and related tuber diseases, are a single most important factor
that can adversely effect the financial balance sheet of any
potato grower. Excessive tuber bruising can be devastating.
Harvest diggers, crossovers, gravity bins, transportation,
material handling, storage, shipping and packing are all potential
source of frequent tuber bruising. In a modern, highly mechanized
potato farming operations, increased reliance on equipment
rather then human resources further escalates the problem.
Traditional labor intensive, bruise prevention by dedicated
owner-managers is getting more difficult, if impossible to
implement.

acceptable levels of tuber bruise damage requires creative

impact absorbing mat is made from 3R cross-link,
closed cell polyethylene foam with a specially developed abrasion
resistant contact surface. Ideal for harvesters, gravity bins,
trucks, containers, storage areas etc. It is available in
planks 36" x 72" x 3/4" thick.
